We've been painting. Sometimes you make a mistake. We did when we picked the color for our family room. The mistake grew when we didn't admit it right away. Because we paid for the paint and for the painter (who was a royal pain in the you know what). Even though we didn't love the results it took years before we could admit that yes we hate the paint and something needed to be done. Funny thing happened when we admitted that it was time for a change. We wanted the change to happen RIGHT NOW. So we contacted painters for estimates. They didn't call back. We did it ourselves. And we let our almost 4-year old daughter help. She loves helping and she loves painting. We watched her paint the walls with utter concentration and pleasure. And we realized that the pleasure is in the painting. It's enjoying the moment and having fun with it.
