We made these peanuts as a flavorful addition to an apple salad. Looking at them with fresh eyes we see the potential. Hand pick your glaze. We started with ketchup flavored with pickled ginger, soy sauce, balsamic vinegar and red wine vinegar. We could have used honey-mustard or mole. The results would have still been tasty just taken in a different direction. We coated roasted peanuts in the ketchup and put them back into a low oven to finish roasting, dry out and glaze. We now have the idea to stick flavor on food from the very beginning. Anything can be a glaze. Understanding this is exciting. Applying it is delicious.
