It is exciting to experience how the results change. This time we cooked our gluten free potato gnocchi from frozen. We heated a pot with meat sauce and added the frozen dumplings. The gnocchi had a tendency to sink to the bottom of the sauce and stick. When we lowered the heat they were able to simmer gently in the sauce. The gnocchi cooked this way were extremely tender. They were potato pillows coated in meaty tomato sauce.
