We are headed up to Aspen Food and Wine Classic in a couple of weeks and we needed something to give away so people will remember Keyah Grande and hopefully come and visit with us. NO, we did not win any awards, we are just part of a small group of intimate hotels which have a booth and feel the clientele at the Aspen event would appreciate our food and wine experience. Currently only a few folks know we exist.
So we are now trying to catch the eye and palate of individuals. What better way to pique the palate than with salt. Yes salt. We have discussed our flavored salt before, so why not put that into action. We have made a large batch of vanilla salt and procured small tins to give away the salt. Here is what we are giving away. Now the question is what to use to present the salt. Our initial thoughts were caramels with the vanilla salt; but now I am looking elsewhere...we shall see.
