I have been pondering the thought of execution; the means in which we carry out our culinary plans and ideas. Within the same thought, it occurred to me that more often than not we execute our ideas--in this case sentence them to death, by not executing the idea. The process to take an idea from thought to finished product may seem insurmountable. The complexity and levels of difficulty of an idea then act as the executioners. We can overcome our own obstacles if we begin by moving forward with the small tasks. The completion of several components of an idea will begin to build up and what was once impossible is now completed and successful. It is interesting that one word is able to describe both the life and death of an idea or creation. Many times I must figure out what side of the coin I am looking at.
