Be thankful.
I began writing the anti-Christmas post. I am in New York, my wife, dogs, and cat are in Colorado, woe is me! And then I thought, why? This is Christmas, I can pick up the phone and call her, she can spoil the animals rotten and I can go see Grandma Kitty, the woman Santa works for. (If you do not know Grandma Kitty, I will sum it up this way, Marlon Brando asked permission to tone down her persona as he portrayed her characteristics in the Godfather. Yes, she is the Godmother.)
Look, I arrived safely in New York and now Aki can enjoy a moment of peace and quiet. I can take a day to breathe and do some dishes in Longmeadow. Yes, that is my role in the kitchen at holiday events. I may even cook a bit as well, we shall see if the Godmother allows it.
My point, there is something great out there, I just need to look for it.
