We finally unpacked an assortment of oils and vinegars from O Olive Oil. We received this collection of new flavors as a gift from the company, an unexpected thank you for the work we do here on the website, while we were in Montana and decided to wait until we returned to New York to unpack these treasures. We have always enjoyed their products, from the olive oils to the tomato powder and everything in between. While we are quite excited to work with all of these oils and vinegars, there is one which struck a chord. It is an olive oil made by pressing olives, limes and jalapenos together. I cannot wait to drizzle that oil on some raw fish or just cooked shrimp. I can only imagine it tossed with fresh pasta and some smashed baby tomatoes. If there was an oil with my name on it, this would be it. Perhaps I can convince them to make a small batch with both charred and fresh jalapenos, that would be the ultimate.
