The simplest of ideas are often the most delicious. After the whole chestnuts were completely roasted, the shells were peeled off. As we discussed wood fires and chestnuts during the peeling party, the next step we arrived upon was putting the shells into the smoke box. They created a luxurious smoke, which wafted over the nuts. The results were amazing, they tasted just as good as you might imagine. The next questions are what to do with the nuts and what else can we smoke over these or other nut shells?
