Today we were playing with a variation on pretzels for the new book. Several batches in we were left with sheets of parchment paper that were yellowed from the oven and stamped with slightly irregular squarish shapes. They were beautiful. They reminded us of homemade wrapping paper and other arts and crafts, so much so that we were moved to take some pictures. It would have been easy to remove the pretzels and discard the paper. Taking a moment to really look at it and see something more, well, that's where our creativity comes from. It's not always easy to remember to try and see what's in front of us, but, the rewards we can reap make it worth the effort.
