It's that time of year. The leaves are changing, the weather is cooling, and I'm starting to contemplate pumpkin pie. Over the years we've come up with several variations. There was dulce de leche pumpkin pie, spiced pumpkin pie, and even pumpkin pie fritters. The question is what to do this year? I'll admit we've been a little preoccupied with doughnuts, and pumpkin pie doughnuts may appear on the menu at Curiosity Doughnuts, but right now I'm thinking about pie. Maybe a simple maple-pumpkin filling with a sandy walnut streusel topping? Maybe pumpkin cheesecake pie? Pumpkin Chiffon? Pumpkin Eggnog? Pumpkin Chai? Hmmm, I'm still searching for inspiration.
