"A doughnut without a hole, is a Danish."-Ty Webb, Caddy Shack
I was making doughnuts for a dinner at Inferno Pizzeria. I forgot to bring my doughnut cutter. I was completely lost about how I was going to get the hole in the center of my doughnuts. Seriously. I was so used to the cutter and the perfect rounds achieved I couldn't see another option. It's amazing how our routine and outlook can prevent us from seeing alternatives. Thankfully I realized my thumbs were the perfect tool to push a hole in my dough. I rotated the dough around my thumb and my doughnut was no longer in danger of being a Danish.
