Alex has been playing around with lemon curds for the past couple of weeks. Last week he made more "traditional" lemon meringue pie doughnuts. This week he played around with strawberry lemonade. The lemon glaze was made by mixing a loose lemon curd with powdered sugar. The strawberry glaze gets it's flavorful punch from freeze-dried strawberries. Together they created a wonderful sweet-tangy delicious doughnut.
