I took a walk in the woods with Amaya. What she saw and what I saw were quite different. Until I was able to begin to let the world fall away and begin to see through her eyes. Her vibrant pink umbrella became a beacon of light guiding my gaze. We searched for leaves as big as her head, because they were the best. Trees had crazy rivers of texture. Fallen leaves were a stunning collage on the ground in front of us. I'm curious to find out what I discover tomorrow with bright eyes and insights.
