I had to try it. I fried a pretzel crusted chicken thigh and slathered it in our pickled cherry pepper caramel sauce. I set it atop our waffelized egg sandwich. The chicken and the egg revisited again. The chicken was crispy, sweet, sour and spicy with a hint of smoke. The sauce dripped on the lightly crisped egg sandwich with cheesy eggs. It's a magnificent and delicious idea, although not the simplest to make happen at our doughnut shop. As a one off it was spot on. We will find a home for it. Where that is we are still searching.
