As a mid-winter treat I ordered some chocolates for Alex. These beauties came from Christopher Elbow Chocolates. It was our first time trying these, although they've been on our radar for a while. The chocolates survived shipping without incident and were little works of art in the box. While we haven't tried them all yet, the ones we have had have been exceptional. Thin shells of delicate chocolate wrapped around balanced, flavorful fillings. Somehow we managed to make three bites out of every chocolate so we could all enjoy tasting each one. So far my personal favorite has been the butterscotch bourbon; it is all of my favorite things wrapped up in small, elegant package of decadence. That said, everything we have tried has been lovely. I would definitely order these again.
