We started with our cookie magic shell as the model. Instead of cookies I used slow roasted day old doughnuts. The result was, as hoped, an intense fluid doughnut. I dipped a few strawberries in the mixture to see how it coated and set up.
Strawberries coated in doughnuts are delicious. The goal was not to be able to coat strawberries, but the potential is exciting. Doughnut magic shell is destined for the return of our frozen custard. In the short term, to balance my impatience, I have a few other ideas in the works to get it into peoples hands and mouths.
